Indiana Tech provides learners of all ages with career-focused professional education in the areas of business, computer studies, engineering, and other professional concentrations; prepares them for active participation in the complex, global society of the 21st century; and motivates them toward a life of significance and worth.
The university was founded in 1930 in Fort Wayne as a small engineering college for men. It has grown into a coed, private university with more than 3,300 students enrolled.
The traditional day school campus is located in Fort Wayne, a thriving, progressive community with a population of more than 200,000 in the northeastern corner of Indiana. The College of Professional Studies has additional locations in Elkhart, Greenwood, Huntington, Indianapolis, Plainfield, South Bend, and Warsaw, as well as an Independent Study Program.
Indiana Tech is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, while the mechanical and electrical engineering programs are accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). Additional degree programs have earned accreditation from the International Assembly of Collegiate Business Education (IACBE).
The university is approved and officially recognized by the U.S. Office of Education and the U.S. State Department and is approved by the State Approval Agency for the enrollment of veterans and eligible persons.
Additionally, the university is a member of the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL) and adheres to its policies and practices.

ICN students planning to enroll in Indiana Tech distance learning courses for credit transfer purposes should contact their home institution ICN coordinator to determine the course credit transferability prior to any admission application and course registration. Students admitted through ICN are admitted as unclassified students who are taking only a course or two and are not admitted to a program of study. Please contact

Typical Distance Learning Costs (Valid through June 30, 2009)
Degree-seeking students are eligible to apply for financial aid.
